Marzena Michałowska was born in Poznań. In 2005 she graduated with distinction from the solo singing class of Grażyna Flicińska-Panfil at Poznań Academy of Music.

She honed her skills in classes led by Helena Łazarska (Vienna), Ryszard Karczykowski (Frankfurt), Poppy Holden (London) and Jadwiga Rappe (Warszawa).

Marzena Michałowska performed with numerous acclaimed and well known conductors, such as: Kirill Petrenko, José Maria Florenzio Junior, Grzegorz Nowak, Tadeusz Wojciechowski, Łukasz Borowicz, Marek Pijarowski, Rafał Jacek Delekta, Agnieszka Duczmal, Jerzy Salwarowski, Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski, Marek Toporowski, Stefan Stuligrosz, Marcin Sompoliński, Jarosław Lipke, Eugeniusz Kus, Aleksandr Gref and orchestras: Poznan Philharmonic Orchestra, Lublin Philharmonic Orchestra, Kalisz Philharmonic Orchestra, Warmia-Mazury Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra, Accademia dell' Arcadia.

Marzena Michałowska is the winner of The Second Prize (the first prize was not awarded) and The Special Prize for the best rendition of J.S.Bach's aria at National Vocal Competition in Duszniki Zdrój (2002). Moreover in 2003 she received a Honourable Mention and The Special Prize for the best rendition of Karol Szymanowski's song at National Competition of Polish Artistic Song in Warszawa. She was also awarded the Third Prize at International Vocal Competition in Vrable (Slovakia).

Throughout her career Marzena Michalowska has given numerous concerts in Poland and abroad. Since 2001 she has been cooperating with Early Music Ensemble "Cantores Viridimontani" from Zielona Góra.

In January 2005 she was granted a three-month "Komische Oper" scholarship in Berlin awarded to young, gifted singers. The coping stone of her stay in Germany was the performance of Donna Anna's part in opera "Don Giovanni" by W.A.Mozart.
